The Suicide Squad spin-off is now in the works and DC fans have been wondering what’s next in store for Robbie’s Harley Quinn and Leto’s Joker.
The two stars only shared a few scenes together in last year’s comic book movie, but now they’re getting their own movie.
Not much is known about the Joker and Harley Quinn movie at this stage, except that it will focus on the criminal couple’s complicated relationship.
Now Robbie has spoken out on how she hopes the film will finish and it doesn’t exactly sound very positive for the pair.
Speaking with Bang Showbiz, the 27-year-old said: “Their love story has to end in flames. It has to. It just wouldn’t be right.”

Robbie previously commented: “I heard that too. They’re great! It’s fun working with a directing duo, and I love them. I’ve obviously done two films with them so I think they’re just brilliant.
“I’m personally a sucker for a love story. In any iteration. I think people enjoy seeing two characters who, in Harley and Joker’s case, would die for one another. It’s kind of romantic in a messed up way.”
Both Robbie’s Harley Quinn and Leto’s Joker are also set to star in Suicide Squad 2 and Gotham City Sirens.
Meanwhile a separate Joker origin movie is in the works with Martin Scorsese, that has Leonardo DiCaprio eyed for the role, with release dates currently unknown.
