Jaeden Lieberher plays Losers’ Club leader Bill Denborough, and said in a new interview that seeing the terrifying film being made helped to quash his fears.
“I don’t love horror movies,” he told Variety. “Before, I was just too scared.
“I thought that I would not be able to sleep because when I do see horror movies, it makes me extremely paranoid just being in the dark or closing my eyes for more than two seconds.
“It’s almost just torturing yourself.”
He added: “After this movie I’ve seen the process and know that everything is fake.”

“This movie, the cast is seven kids all my age, and that’s really one of the biggest reasons I wanted to do it. I really did make six best friends.”
Bill Skarsgard, who plays Pennywise, was kept separate from the young cast until it came to shoot his scenes – and it seems the tactic to generate “real reactions” certainly worked.
