Keto diet snacks: What to eat between meals on the low-carb weight loss plan

The keto diet involves eating less carbs and foods that are high in protein and fat.

That means bread and pasta are strictly off the menu. However, popular treats like cheese and bacon are encouraged.

How does the diet work? By eating low carb the body is forced to run using fat as is primary fuel.

This is known as a state of ketosis, and it burns a lot of fat, helping people slim down.

She runs her website and Instagram account where she posts recipes and wellness tips after being diagnosed with gluten intolerance and IBS.

She said: “It’s important to try and include a variety of foods while embarking on the diet to ensure you’re getting a range of nutrients.
