Tesla Truckla – New Model 3 based Pickup truck REVEALED with awesome trailer

A Tesla Model 3 owner has created the ‘Truckla’ which is a pickup truck based on the aforementioned sedan. Simone Giertz, a Swedish inventor and YouTuber tweeted out a dramatic video which was a trailer for here Frankenstein truck. She said: “I got tired of waiting for @Tesla to release their pickup truck so I made my own.” The Truckla is essentially a Model 3 that has had the rear seats, and everything from the B-pillar backward removed.

At the rear, a new truck bed and drop-down rear door, typical of pickup trucks, has been engineered. A solid black frame has also been added to the truck-bed at the rear.

The voiceover on the trailer video comically parodies the often pompous and grandiose proclamations and shots seen in car trailers.

It says: “It’s here, the truck the world didn’t know it was waiting for. Its the dawn of a new beginning.

“Some trucks rely on roads already paved, some choose to pave their own.

“The new 2019 Truckla, available nowhere.

“Tesla has teased its own ‘Cyperpunk’ inspired pickup truck since the Semi launch in 2017.

Company CEO Elon Musk has previously said he is most excited about the truck which is expected to launch towards the end of 2019.

Earlier this year on the Ride the Lightning podcast Musk stated that the car could cost less than $50,000.

“There will be versions of the truck that will be more expensive, but you’ve got to be able to get a really great truck for $49,000 or less.”

He also made some pretty huge claims about the truck’s capabilities.

“This is going to be a truck that is more capable than other trucks.

“The goal is like be a better truck than the F-150 in terms of truck like functionality and be a better sports car than a standard [Porsche] 911. That’s the aspiration.”

Previously it has been stated that the car could have between 400-500 miles of range on a single charge and have a towing capacity of up to 300,000 pounds.
