Fifty Shades Freed: Dakota Johnson opens up on surprise NEW career move

Johnson shot to international superstardom as Anastasia Steele in the franchise, the final part of which is due in cinemas early next year.

But as for her next move, it seems there are stories she wants to tell herself.

Speaking to Vogue Spain, she confided: “I read a lot, and I have found many articles and books that I’d like to turn into films.

“My interests are very specific, and I want to see certain women acting on screen and drawing attention to some particular issues.”

In the cover interview, she also spoke about her experience of being constantly subjected to public scrutiny.

“It’s like an incessant mosquito noise. Very weird,” she shrugged.

“People feeling the need not only to judge everyone all the time but also to pronounce themselves on it, it’s extremely boring. A waste of energy and time.”

Over the weekend a tenuous report emerged on a US gossip site, claiming the 27-year-old was a “diva” on the set of the upcoming romance; an allegation at odds with what director James Foley and co-star Jamie Dornan have said in interviews.

“The producer called [Johnson’s mother] Melanie Griffith and asked her to speak to Dakota about her bad behaviour,” an alleged insider claimed.

“It’s so bad that Jamie doesn’t speak to Dakota anymore. All of the people working on Fifty Shades are very happy this was the last instalment of the trilogy!”

Fifty Shades Freed is out on on February 9, 2018.
