The UN Security council voted unanimously on Monday for a US resolution to ban North Korea’s lucrative textile exports and cut its oil supplies.
The vote was backed by the rogue state’s main allies, China and Russia.
The international community acted after North Korea’s biggest and sixth nuclear test which took place earlier this month.
It claims to have developed nuclear intercontinental ballistic missiles which can target the US mainland.
And today North Korea’s propaganda arm, the Korea Asia-Pacific Peace Committee, branded the UN Security Council “a tool of evil” made up of “moneybribed” countries that were acting on the orders of the United States.

It added: “Let’s reduce the US mainland to ashes and darkness.
“Let’s vent our spite with mobilisation of all retaliation means which have been prepared till now.”
It also threatened to attack Japan with nuclear weapons and leave the country “at the bottom of the sea”.
North Korean rhetoric is often blood-curdling but in recent months it has been backed by repeated test firings of missiles, including one launched over Japan.
