The Super Bowl is a huge event on US TV, with advertisement spots being bought by film studios in a bid to reach record audiences. Disney are known to be booking out a number of ad spots, with fans wondering if the long-awaited title of Star Wars: Episode 9 could be revealed in a teaser trailer (or even as many as three) that night. However experts have insisted that it’s highly unlikely.
The pros at Trailer Track, who monitor the due dates of upcoming teasers and full-length trailers, have done the maths and deduced that of all Disney’s upcoming releases, Episode 9 is highly unlikely to be granted a Super Bowl spot.
That’s chiefly because the studio has several other movies on its slate with earlier release dates that will need pushing.
Avengers: Endgame should be a safe bet for one of their spots; although whether it will be recycled footage from last month’s trailer or an all-new one remains to be seen.
Aladdin is also overdue a new trailer, so that could be a lock – given that its release is fast creeping up on May 24.

Captain Marvel could get a brief new spot, and Dumbo also be due some love as well.
There’s also, of course, room for a new full-length look at this summer’s hotly anticipated Toy Story 4.
So with Star Wars: Episode 9 not yet finished shooting, and its release not due until the very end of the year, it seems we may not see anything from it just yet.
The title should be revealed any time now, however. The Last Jedi’s moniker was announced back on January 23, 2017; and The Force Awakens had its name revealed to the world over a year before it was in cinemas.
