North Korea vs USA: Trump ‘making plans to OCCUPY Pyongyang’ as WW3 tensions rage on

Washington’s military experts have been ordered to prepare for the occupation of if knife-edge tension over Kim Jong-un’s nuclear arsenal spills over into a deadly conflict.

Generals and advisers at the White House have been “quietly preparing studies on the aftermath of war with North Korea”, it has been claimed.

And experts are being advised to use lessons from armed rebellion during the US occupation of Iraq.

Laura Rozen, a journalist for Al-Monitor, said: “A think tank contact working on national security issues tells me: Major DC conservative think tanks that are linked into the Trump team are quietly preparing studies on the aftermath of war with North Korea.

”There’s a lot of interest in studies on how to defeat insurgencies led by former regime types armed with chemical and biological agents.

“Dusting off the books from pre-Iraq War days on how to counter those types of insurgencies.”

The warning comes as military experts warned the impoverished Stalinist nation would quickly collapse if America and its allies invaded.

But the conflict would inevitably cause a huge loss of life in both South and North Korea, and advisors are concerned a fanatical insurgency would bog down US forces for years.

Mark Fitzpatrick, the executive director of the International Institute for Strategic Studies office in Washington, warned that many US soldiers could also be killed if an invasion was on the cards.

He told the New Yorker that Kim’s fanatical soldiers might use guerrilla tactics against US forces in the North, adding: “A war would not end quickly after the defeat of North Korean forces. North Korea would not be immediately pacified.

“North Koreans are brainwashed into believing that the Kim dynasty is deity-like and Americans are the source of all evil.”

War tensions continue to rage as North Korea lashes out over the latest UN sanctions imposed on the hermit state in response to its Hydrogen bomb test on September 3.

President has talked up the possibility of conflict with North Korea, while General James ‘Mad Dog’ Mattis said the rogue state faces “total annihilation” if they provoke the US.

But experts warned war with North Korea would be “catastrophic” and tens of thousands would die within the first hours of conflict.
