Singer may not have been able to finish directing Bohemian Rhapsody after an alleged spat with Freddie Mercury star Rami Malek, but he’s still supporting the film through awards season. This evening he posted an incredible set video, which Brian May has now shared, featuring the Queen guitarist performing the Bohemian Rhapsody guitar solo in the recording studio scenery. As he plucks out those famous chords, Gwilym Lee – who plays the younger May in the movie – watches on. When the Queen legend finished the behind-the-scenes video panned round to Rami Malek in character as Freddie in the producer’s booth.
As Freddie, Malek says: “That’s brilliant. I love that.”
Lee’s May asks: “So now what?”
Malek’s Freddie responds: “The operatic section.”
Lee’s May replied: “Ah the operatic section. Good.”
