
Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos announced he was divorcing his wife, MacKenzie, on Twitter on Wednesday.
The billionaire executive made the announcement just three days before his 55th birthday.
He said the couple will remain “cherished friends” and said they were “incredibly lucky to have found each other.”
In a joint statement released on Twitter the couple said: “We want to make people aware of a development in our lives.
“As our family and close friends know, after a long period of loving exploration and trial separation, we have decided to divorce and continue our shared lives as friends.
