Another year, another slew of attempts by Hollywood to adapt video games into a non-interactive medium. This year sees Warner Bros., GK Films and Square Enix take another crack at bringing Tomb Raider to the silver screen for the third time with a film that heavily draws from the 2013 reboot and its sequel Rise of the Tomb Raider. Does this more grounded take on Lara Croft finally break the mold of mediocre live-action video game adaptations?
