
Fortnite season 8 will be starting later than expected, with Epic Games revealing the release date of the new Battle Pass has been pushed back.
Fortnite season 7 is only a few weeks old, with Battle Royale fans duking it out in the new map locations added with this Battle Pass.
Fortnite season 7 has brought with it new festive map locations, planes, ziplines and tonnes of cosmetics to unlock.
And Fortnite fans will have plenty of time to rinse this season’s Battle Pass for all it’s worth.
Epic Games has revealed that Fortnite season 7 has been extended by a whole two weeks.

This is to factor in the Epic Games staff going on a well-earned festive break after a blockbuster year for the wildly popular Battle Royale game.
It means that the Fortnite season 7 end date will be later than usual, with the current Battle Pass lasting for 12 weeks in total.
The Fortnite season 7 end date is pencilled in for February 28, which could also be the day that Fortnite season 8 launches.
In a post online Epic Games said: “The Epic Games team will be taking its own holiday break this winter, so Season 7 will be extended by two weeks and end on February 28.
“We’ll still have new updates coming out during that break period bringing new items and challenges.
“You can plan on more holiday cheer to hit before the New Year as well!”
In the meantime over the festive period Fortnite fans will be kept busy with the 14 Days of Fortnite.
This sees new and returning LTMs regularly swapped out of Fortnite Battle Royale as well as daily challenges added.
These challenges all unlock rewards such as Christmas themed sprays, emotes or cosmetics.
So far three of the 14 Days of Fortnite challenges have unlocked – play Creative mode, visit giant candy canes and play matches with a friend.
Thanks to leakers, we know the other 14 Days of Fortnite challenges – we just don’t know which day it’ll drop on.
