The president is likely to jet off to his ‘winter White House’ – Mar-a-Lago – in Palm Beach, Florida. President Trump bought the club in 1985 and has spent many weekends and holidays at the resort, even as president. He spent last Christmas at his tropical home with wife Melania and the previous year when he was president-elect.
Last year he arrived in Florida on December 22 and was greeted by well-wishers and fans who lined the streets.
So it is likely, the president will arrive at a similar time.
According to the Palm Beach Post, Mr Trump will spent 16 days at Mar-a-Lago over the Christmas and New Year’s holidays.
The Federal Aviation Administration issued an alert to pilots to avoid the airspace over Mar-a-Lago during a two-week time frame.
