Website Celebrity Net Worth claims the actress is worth $30million – that equates to around £22m with today’s exchange rate.

Where did it all start for Joan? As a teen she trained as an actress at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art (RADA) in her hometown of London.

Aged 22, in 1955, the young starlet headed to Hollywood and landed a role in The Girl in the Red Velvet Swing and Rally Round the Flag, Boys!

She went on to star in Star Trek, The Stud, and then Dynasty – for which she won a Golden Globe award for Best Actress in 1982.

In 1983, in the midst of her Dynasty fame, Joan received a Hollywood Walk of Fame for her impressive achievements across the entertainment industry.

Little did she know that just over three decades later, in 2015, she would be made a Dame by Queen Elizabeth II for her services to charity.

Success ran in the Collins family as Joan’s younger sister Jackie also racked up a long list of achievements during her lifetime.

In fact, Jackie’s net worth was significantly higher than her sister Joan.

The star, who died aged 77 in 2015, was worth $180m.

Joan starred on The Jonathan Ross show on Friday evening alongside Natalie Dormer and Jack Dee showing her star is still shining as brightly as when she started out on her career path back in the 1950s.
