And a new Fortnite update means fresh downtime, as Epic Games performs server maintenance for Battle Royale and Save the World.
Fortnite will officially go offline at 10am UK time, although the servers typically go down beforehand.
The news was announced by Epic Games on Twitter: “Pump up your squad for the Legendary v6.31 update. Downtime begins Tuesday, November 27 at 5 AM ET (1000 UTC).”
There’s no word on when the game will be back online, but downtime tends to last for a couple of hours.
Expect Fortnite Battle Royale to be online at around midday, complete with the new update.
Update 6.31 introduces the new variants of the Pump Shotgun, which will now be more powerful.
“Coming soon to Battle Royale: Epic and Legendary variants of the Pump Shotgun!” Epic confirmed.
Fortnite design lead Eric Williamson explained the reason for the shotgun changes in a recent Twitter post.
“The upcoming 6.31 update will include a Pump Shotgun rebalance to improve effectiveness,” he tweeted. “Damage will increase in close quarters and range will be reduced slightly.
“Additionally, ALL shotguns will have a minimum damage of 3 pellets (even if only 1 or 2 hit).”
Williamson also revealed that the mounted turret was set to be nerfed in the Fortnite 6.31 update.
He posted: “Some adjustments to Mounted Turret coming in a hotfix: it will overheat a little faster and have a reduced headshot multiplier.
“6.31 client update will adjust collision volume making it easier to hit players from the front.”
Epic Games said that collision volume on the Mounted Turret was a tad too generous, leading to this week’s update.
