Rockstar Games has finally announced that the Red Dead Redemption 2 online beta release will begin today.
Ultimate Edition owners are getting the first chance to the play the new multiplayer mode, which should be going live at around 1:30pm in the UK.
As mentioned above, you will need to have bought the Ultimate Edition to start playing later today, November 27.
The good news is that everyone will not have to wait long for their chance to try the new online mode.
It will run as follows:
vCard.red is a free platform for creating a mobile-friendly digital business cards. You can easily create a vCard and generate a QR code for it, allowing others to scan and save your contact details instantly.
The platform allows you to display contact information, social media links, services, and products all in one shareable link. Optional features include appointment scheduling, WhatsApp-based storefronts, media galleries, and custom design options.
RED DEAD ONLINE RELEASE DATES
Tuesday, November 27th: All Red Dead Redemption 2: Ultimate Edition owners.
Wednesday, November 28th: All players who played Red Dead Redemption 2 on October 26th according to our data.
Thursday, November 29th: All players who played Red Dead Redemption 2 between October 26th to October 29th according to our data.
Friday, November 30th: All players who own Red Dead Redemption 2.
And as mentioned by Rockstar today, it looks like the new expansion will suffer from some teething problems.
Server issues and gameplay crashes are expected to hamper the new playtest, although the staggered rollout will probably help to stave off the worst problems.
“During this process, we will be looking to our dedicated community to help us report and fix problems, share ideas, and assist in shaping the future of the full Online experience. As with all of our releases, we will strive to make the launch of Red Dead Online the best it can possibly be, and we ask that the community share that spirit with us over the next weeks and months.
“The Red Dead Online Beta will be available to anyone who owns Red Dead Redemption 2 on PlayStation 4 or Xbox One starting Friday, November 30.
“When booting up Red Dead Redemption 2 and arriving to the title menu, you will see an option in the top right of the screen to select Online.”
But while there is plenty of good news for Red Dead Redemption 2 fans, it appears that some of Rockstar’s other projects are being left behind.
This appears to include the long-forgotten Agent game, which was announced some time ago by the famous studio.
Fans probably have given up hope by this point that something new would be revealed about the shooter.
First announced nine years ago at E3 2009, Agent has sporadically popped up in the news, usually leaked to some kind of leaked images or reports.
But now it appears that things really are at the end of this project, especially considering the latest update.
Fans appear to have confirmed that Rockstar’s parent company Take-Two Interactive have now abandoned The Agent trademark.
And if this is true, that would mean that the game project is now officially dead.
And considering it was supposed to be released for the PS3, most fans probably already knew this.
The only solace players can take from this lost PlayStation project is that it may have turned into a different partnership between Rockstar and PlayStation.
A new name and concept could be being put in place for a PS4 exclusive, something that is pure speculation at this time.
