Graeme Swann: Strictly star speaks of ‘frustration’ ahead of live show with Oti Mabuse

Strictly Come Dancing 2018 contestant Graeme Swann, 39, described himself as a “frustrated actor” who enjoys dressing up to play a different role. Speaking on Strictly: It Takes Two with Oti Mabuse, host Zoe Ball, 48, asked Graeme where his confidence came from. Joking, he said: “I just think it’s hiding in my vast insecurities about how I look and smell.“No, I love it… I love getting dressed up …I said when I came on to Strictly, one of the greatest things about it…

“I am a frustrated actor, I would love to be on the screen stage.

“To get out there and put all these different outfits on and to actually play a different role, rather than a boring sportsman everyday over and over in white, I just love it.

“The three outfits I get to wear this week for the two group dances, honestly I’m stealing the lot.

“I don’t care BBC, I am stealing all of that.”

“I am going to try and win this whole thing.”

The duo’s efforts earned themselves 24 out of 40 points by the four judges.

Head judge Shirley Ballas told the pair: “I thought when you came out, your entry was great… then you had a couple of little hiccups.

“But let me tell you, when you had a hiccup, you recovered.”

“But you managed to pull safely into port.”

Strictly Come Dancing the results show continues tonight at 7.20pm on BBC One.
