Stacey Dooley told her Strictly Come Dancing 2018 partner Kevin Clifton she feared she would die attempting a never-before-scene stunt.
In a video shared on Instagram, the filmmaker can be seen sitting on a multi-coloured cylinder, which was dangling from the ceiling.
As the 31-year-old documentary presenter looked down from the pole, she shouted: “It’s so high, I’m gonna die.”
When a male voice asked how she was doing, Stacey quickly changed the subject and insisted they continue rehearsing for the live show.
“OK! Let’s practice,” she said with a smile on her face, making it clear she felt confident on the curved prop.

Kevin, 36, who uploaded the video to his Instagram story, captioned the footage: “First flying practice for @sjdooley.”
The English dancer had previously gushed about the BBC presenter after fans sent him messages about his dance partner.
One admirer tweeted: “Stacey is what Strictly should be all about, taking a complete novice with absolutely no experience and making them into great dancers. Many young girls will look at Stacey and be inspired by her.”
Responding to the post, Kevin wrote: “I think she’s a fantastic role model for young girls and boys for that matter.”
Another fan added: “Loving Stacey, [she’s] what Strictly Come Dancing is all about”, to which the dancer replied: “She’s an absolute joy to teach.”
The BBC journalist is the favourite to win the Glitterball trophy, but an underdog could end up snatching the crown.
YouTube sensation Joe Sugg, 27, received three 10s at Blackpool’s Tower Ballroom this weekend, and the latest bookie odds now suggest the star could become this year’s Strictly champion.
Bookmaker Coral revealed a flurry of bets have been placed on Joe to win the entire series over the last 48 hours.
According to the firm, Joe’s odds now sit at 9-4, placing him just narrowly behind Stacey.
The Luton-born star’s odds now come in at 7-4, meaning the slightest slip-up could push her below her rival.
Coral spokesman Harry Aitkenhead suggested Joe’s popularity could also be the result of his rumoured relationship with Australian dance partner Dianne Buswell.
“Joe has impressed with his skills on the dance floor,” he said. “But also the chemistry he’s struck up with his partner Dianne is endearing him to fans as well.
“It’s clearly impressed punters too as we’ve seen a lot of bets over the last few days for him to lift the Glitterball Trophy.”
“He’s now creeping up on Stacey in the betting,” the bookmaker added.
Strictly Come Dancing continues tonight on BBC One at 6.45pm.
