Roger Federer vs Alexander Zverev LIVE updates: ATP Finals latest with Federer in action

Federer can make it a century of tournament wins by claiming the title at the season-ending event.

But his route is far from easy with world No 5 Zverev desperate to prove the NextGen stars are ready to take over the baton.

If Federer can overcome this challenge, Novak Djokovic is a likely opponent in the final – and the world No 3 does not fancy his chances should that meeting occur.

“Personally, I’m still not thinking of the number 100,” Federer said

“I won’t let that get in my head, make me go crazy because it should be something I’m excited about and not something I should feel extra pressure.

“As long as I think Novak is in the draw anyhow, he’s playing so good again, it’s never going to be easy.

“I think it’s just going to be hard to finish it. I’m happy I gave myself the opportunity.

“I’m happy that I’m raising my level of play throughout this week. This is what I hope to do. Yeah, it’s exciting to be in this situation now, of course, no doubt.”

Roger Federer vs Alexander Zverev LIVE – 2pm start

1.40pm:Β We have just been treated to a fantastic doubles semi-final clash here on Centre Court which saw Jamie Murray and Bruno Soares fall to Mike Bryan and Jack Sock.

Home favourite Murray and partner Soares came from a set down to take the match to a Championship tiebreak third set before meeting their demise.

The crowd has now dispersed for a brief break before Federer and Zverev make their way to the main stage in about 20 minutes time.

1.30pm: Good afternoon and welcome to the O2 Area where we are expecting a thrilling day of tennis.

The top four seeds all made it out of the group stages, proving exactly why they are the highest ranked players in the tournament.

But from here the competition is wide open as Federer has had his wobbles this week.

Anything less than 100 per cent will give Zverev a chance to pull off an upset.
