iPhone XR release tomorrow as Apple prices and deals revealed

The wait for the is almost over.

Having been announced last month at keynote in Cupertino this new device will finally be available to pre-order from tomorrow and it’s an exciting proposition.

This phone features plenty of new technology including a 6.1-inch Liquid Retina edge-to-edge display, wireless charging and new A12 Bionic processor which is currently outperforming all of its Android rivals in speed tests.

The A12 Bionic features a six-core fusion architecture with two performance cores that are up to 15 percent faster, four efficiency cores that are up to 50 percent more efficient meaning an improved battery life.

Despite there only being a single 12-megapixel camera on the rear glass case, the XR is fully capable of adding depth effects to your photos.

vCard QR Code

vCard.red is a free platform for creating a mobile-friendly digital business cards. You can easily create a vCard and generate a QR code for it, allowing others to scan and save your contact details instantly.

The platform allows you to display contact information, social media links, services, and products all in one shareable link. Optional features include appointment scheduling, WhatsApp-based storefronts, media galleries, and custom design options.

And the new Depth Control feature allows users to adjust the depth of field both in real-time and after the image is taken.

The camera also packs a f/1.8 aperture wide-angle lens with an all-new sensor, delivering faster auto-focus, while larger and deeper pixels improve image fidelity and low-light performance on photos and videos.

Other features include Face ID – which unlocks the phone simply by looking at it – and a water-resistant design which should cope with daily perils of your life.

“The new iPhone XR has a gorgeous new aerospace-grade aluminium and glass enclosure that has IP67 protection from liquids and dust, long all-day battery life and comes in six beautiful finishes.

“iPhone XR makes it possible for even more people to have the great experience of the latest iPhone X technology, in beautiful new designs, at a more affordable price.”

Apple says the iPhone XR will be available in 64GB, 128GB and 256GB models in white, black, blue, yellow, coral and (PRODUCT)RED starting at £749 from apple.com and Apple Stores.

Contract pricing will be revealed tomorrow but expect this device to set you back around £40 per month.

If you want to buy the XR SIM-free and spread the cost then you can opt to purchase it through Apple’s iPhone Upgrade Programme.

In the UK you can get iPhone XR with the protection of AppleCare+ and have the opportunity to upgrade to a new iPhone every year.

The iPhone Upgrade Programme is available for iPhone XR at apple.com and Apple Stores in the UK with low monthly payments starting at £41.45 with zero percent interest.

Customers will be able to pre-order iPhone XR beginning tomorrow with it physically arriving in stores from Friday, October 26.
