Microsoft is getting ready to release a wave of brand new Xbox One Wireless controllers.
Fans can pre-order the Armed Forces II Special Edition, the Phantom Black controller and Grey/Blue pad from the Microsoft website.
Ahead of the launch of the new controllers, Express Online has ranked the current range of Xbox One Wireless pads from worst to best.

10. Xbox One Sea of Thieves controller – Microsoft’s game-specific controllers have been a bit of a disappointment, and tenth place was very much a toss-up between the Sea of Thieves controller and the Halo 5: Guardians pad. Sea of Thieves wins purely due to the fact that we like the compass-style analogue stick.

9. Xbox One Armed Forces II controller – Our least favourite of Microsoft’s newest batch of controllers, the Armed Forces II Special Edition is sure to have its fans, but it doesn’t quite resonate with us.
8. Xbox One Red controller – The Xbox One Red controller would make a great Valentine’s present, even if it is a bit meh. Still, if red is your favourite colour, you’re in luck.
7. Xbox One Blue controller – While you could make an argument that the Red and Blue Xbox One Wireless controllers are interchangeable, we much prefer the striking blue colour scheme.
6. Xbox One Grey/Green controller – The grey and green combo works really well on this controller, which feels very on brand. The only thing that lets it down slightly is the darker back, which clashes with the light grey faceplate.
5. Xbox One Copper Shadow – Now we’re getting to the good stuff. The Copper Shadow controller is a fine choice. It certainly seems to be popular, with Amazon offering it for £139 at the time of writing.
4. Xbox One Phantom Black Special Edition – The brand new Phantom Black controller features a swish translucent black design with a textured grip and champagne gold d-pad. This looks and feels like a premium controller.
3. Xbox One Grey/Blue controller – The highest rated of Microsoft’s new controllers, the darker shade of grey and lighter blue really complement each other, and we love the blue back.
2. Xbox One Ocean Shadow/Dusk Shadow controller – We couldn’t separate the Ocean Shadow and Dusk Shadow, which both feature faded metallic blue colour schemes, but in slightly different shades and patterns. We’d be happy to find either under our Christmas tree this December.
1. Xbox One Volcano Shadow controller – Microsoft really nailed it with the Volcano Shadow pad, which was hands-down the most popular controller in the office. Just look at that fiery red metallic finish! Look at it…
