Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S8 price drop but Samsung may have given a reason NOT to buy one

If you’ve been patiently waiting to buy the Galaxy S8 or S9 then now is a very good time to grab one.

These flagship devices have been plummeting in price in recent months with the S8 dropping to a ridiculously low £387 and the for as little as £528.

These deals are available from Amazon but even Samsung has dropped prices.

The S9 is available directly from the Samsung store for £679 – saving £50 and the S9+ can be purchased for £799 – saving £60.

These are all incredibly good offers but there could be a big reason NOT to take Samsung up on them.

The platform allows you to display contact information, social media links, services, and products all in one shareable link. Optional features include appointment scheduling, WhatsApp-based storefronts, media galleries, and custom design options.

The Korean technology firm has just announced an all-new device which not only lands in your pocket at a very nice price but also features some technology you won’t find on the S8 or S9.

The latest includes a quad camera set up on the rear case of the device.

That’s three more cameras than the S8 and two more than the Galaxy S9+.

Samsung says its new A9 is aimed at the “Instagram generation” and features plenty of photographic tricks up its sleeve.

The A9 includes a main 24-megapixel camera and a secondary 5-megapixel lens for depth effects.

Then there’s a telephoto lens with 2X optical zoom and ultra wide 120 degree 8-megapixel camera which allows users to get more detail packed into their pictures.

To help users get the most from these four lenses, Samsung has also included some clever software on the phone.

With AI Scene Recognition, the A9 is able to identify the subject and adjust the settings accordingly for the optimal image.

Along the new cameras, there’s plenty of other flagship features packed into this mid-range device.

You’ll find a very decent 6.3-inch Full HD+ Super AMOLED display, Octa-Core processor and 6GB of RAM.

Powering the phone is a 3,800mAh which Samsung says should provide all-day power and the device comes with 128GB of internal storage which is expandable via a microSD card.

So how much does the A9 cost?

Samsung says the A9 will go on sale soon and cost just £549 – £190 less than the launch price of the Galaxy S9.
