Man Utd icon Gary Neville reacts as Man City SNUB Salford City on Non League Day

English football celebrates Non League Day on Saturday as the Premier League and Championship is put on hiatus for the international break.

Manchester City will not be playing and the club have urged fans to watch local non-league teams in action instead.

Yet amazingly they missed out neighbours Salford City.

Salford’s Peninsula Stadium is based just five miles from the Etihad in the north of Manchester.

The club is owned by a number of Manchester United legends, including Gary Neville.
