The Russian leapt out of the octagon and attacked members of McGregor’s entourage after their UFC Lightweight Championship fight, as the bad blood between the two fighters spilled over, with the Irishman also brawling with members of Nurmangomedov’s team inside the ring.
UFC featherweight champion Holloway later tweeted: “When I fight my son sits cage side.
“Children could’ve been smashed. Being champ isn’t about the belt and they both know this.
“I hope both champs show what it is about before it’s too late.
“I know they are better leaders of their teams than what fans have been seeing.”

But Daniel Gregory said: “Shouldn’t have your kids their watching something so brutal anyway tbh.”
It was not immediately clear which children Mr Holloway was referring to another Twitter user, JJ Vargas, said the two children belong to fellow UFC fighter Daniel Cormier had been present “in the front row”.
And Geraldine Parsons Smith added: “DC had his son there, had to abandon him to calm Khabib down.
“I’m sure that wasn’t the only child present or watching.
“We all are guilty of it getting to this point and have to do better: Hold our entertainers accountable.”
The extraordinary scenes came seconds after McGregor, fighting for the first time since his boxing match with Floyd Mayweather, submitted in the fourth round of the fight after his opponent got him in a choke hold.
Nurmegomedov left the ring before his championship belt was presented to him because UFC chief Dana White feared further violence among the 20,000 strong crowd if the presentation went ahead.
The Nevada State Athletic Commission, which sanctioned the fight, has launched an investigation.
Three members of Nurmagomedov’s party were arrested afterwards but subsequently released without charge.
The ill-feeling dates back to an incident in April in which McGregor threw a steel trolley through the window of a bus carrying Nurmagomedov as well as several other fights and UFC stay, several of whom sustained injuries.
In the build-up to their contest, McGregor also targeted Nurmagomedov with insults aimed at his father, who he branded a “quivering coward” for links with Chechen dictator Ramzan Kadyrov, as well as branding his manager a “terrorist snitch”.
In his post-match press conference, Muslim Nurmagomedov said: “He talked about my religion, he talked about my country, he talked about father.
“He came to Brooklyn and he broke the bus and almost killed a couple of people.
“So why do people talk about me jumping over the cage? Why do they talk about this? I don’t understand.
“My father taught me you always have to be respectful. People who know me, they know who I am.”
Hours after the fight, McGregor tweeted: “Good knock. Looking forward to the rematch.”
