Fortnite event: New Tomato Head changes ahead of season 6 teaser?

Epic Games are reportedly setting off a new event this week, possibly ahead of the next Fortnite update.

It’s been rumoured that something new is going to happen in connection with the recently revealed Tomato Head Temple.

This appeared last week, replacing Tomato Town and bringing with it, it’s own set of challenges.

Data miners appeared to find evidence that a new Fortnite event linked to the Tomato area was set to launch today.

However, nothing has happened so far.

This information came from a single line of code which included the word “oddity,” making it hard to work out what might be happening next.

While a big Fortnite event might not be kicking off today, there’s still a chance something will happen later this week.

A new Fortnite update is being released tomorrow, which will help improve in-game stability for Fortnite Battle Royale.

This new update will require no downtime and could also be part of whatever Fortnite event was found in the code.

Fans will need to keep an eye on the official Fortnite and Epic Games social channels to spy any new clues or announcements.

The initial Fortnite map update came after the release of the 5.30 patch, which also brought with it the Rift-To-Go item and Score Royale LTM.

The addition of Tomato Temple is the most significant Fortnite map change since the start of season 5.

Tomato Temple can be found in the same spot as Tomato Town, but the new point of interest is a much larger locale.

To mark the addition of Tomato Temple, the Tomato head outfit has returned to the Fortnite store.

Once bought players can now try to complete the newly added Tomatohead challenges.

These challenges can be found under the regular challenges tab in Battle Royale after you have purchased the Tomatohead skin.

Once you complete these three challenges, you will be rewarded with the Tomatohead crown.

Here are the Tomatohead challenges:

  • Play matches (25)
  • Deal damage to opponents (5,000)
  • Gain 20,000 XP (20,000)

Fans will also want to keep an eye on the new Fortnite cube, which appears to be up to something.

In what is arguably the biggest Fortnite season 5 event so far, a mysterious purple cube appeared in Paradise Palms.

The Fortnite cube appeared in the spot that lightning which had been fired from the Rift was hitting.

And right after the Fortnite cube emerged the Rift that has been in the Fortnite sky since the season 4 rocket launch disappeared.

The Fortnite cube is covered in mysterious symbols and if Battle Royale players stand near it charges up their shield.

But don’t try and touch it – if you do your Fortnite character will be sent flying into the air.

As players were still trying to figure out what this all means another piece to the puzzle was added – the Fortnite cube started moving.

And so far the Fortnite cube has been moving like clockwork, with the cube taking a step every one hour and 43 minutes.
