Pokemon Go NEWS: September Field Research update adds Entei rewards

Pokemon Go fans will have the chance of unlocking fresh Field Research rewards for September.

It has now been confirmed that as part of the latest Field Research update, players will be able to find new rewards when performing all important tasks.

September’s Field Research tasks have been given a fire theme by the new Legendary Entei inclusion, so expect the challenges to be fixed around Johto types.

August’s focused on Electric-type Pokemon such as Pikachu, Electrike and Mareep.

So any Trainers who manage to collect seven Field Research stamps during next month will be rewarded with a Legendary breakthrough.

The platform allows you to display contact information, social media links, services, and products all in one shareable link. Optional features include appointment scheduling, WhatsApp-based storefronts, media galleries, and custom design options.

The reward for seven stamps in September is an encounter with Legendary Pokemon Entei.

This follows on from Raikou encounters in August, which will remain available until the end of the month.

“Trainers, September is heating up with Field Research tasks focusing on Fire-type Pokémon!”

“Collect enough stamps during September to earn a Research Breakthrough and an opportunity to catch the Legendary Pokémon Entei!” reads a Niantic tweet.

According to the latest information found by fans, August’s research stamps carry over into the new month, which means you’ll encounter Entei sooner if you have existing stamps.

However, some Trainers have flagged that they have received last month’s breakthrough reward by doing this.

The new Entei Field Research will begin on September 1, at around 9pm in the UK.

As mentioned above, Raikou will remain available to catch if you can find the stamps in time, before everything is switched over next month.

It follows the news that the mythical Celebi is available to catch in Pokemon Go if you have the time and patience to complete the Ripple in Time quest.

This includes completing 8 steps in total, although some Trainers are finding it hard to get past the first stages.

This is down to a new Celebi quest bug, which is keeping many from progressing past step two.

Players are reporting problems with the catching Pokémon for three days in a row objective.

According to those posting online, their game is not tracking the Pokemon caught past day one of the task.

This includes Trainers catching a Pokémon, seeing their streak indicator lights up, only to find no progress has been made in the quest.

Workarounds have been posted by fans, some of which suspect that egg hatching has something to do with the bug.

Other workarounds include catching Pokemon in the evening, as the Celebi quest might be sticking to a certain time zone for its quest steps.
