Fortnite Galaxy skin: When will Epic Games release new Fortnite Galaxy skin?

The rarest skin in the game, the Galaxy skin is only available to a select few Battle Royale gamers.

Those who purchased the Samsung Note9 or the Tab4 earlier this month gained access to an exclusive promotion with Epic Games that unlocked the coveted Galaxy skin.

The skin is tied directly to the launch of the newly released smartphone and table, and is only available on those devices.

However, Epic Games may be selling the Galaxy skin to the rest of the community once the promotion has finished, if current internet rumours are to be believed.

When will Epic Games release the Fortnite Galaxy skin?

Unfortunately, the only way you can get the Galaxy skin right now is to fork out a lot of money for the new Note9 phone or Tab4 tablet.

vCard QR Code

In the UK, the the 6GB/128GB  Galaxy Note 9 model is available for £899 SIM-free, while the higher-spec 8GB/512GB version is priced at £1,099.

Epic Games has an exclusive deal with Samsung, meaning the promotion will eventually end, with many fans hoping they will then be able to buy the Galaxy skin on a different console.

Some data miners are suggesting this may not be the case and that the Galaxy skin is only available through the current means.

The promotional material for the Samsung Note9 and Fortnite combination gives a deadline for fans to take advantage, with the deal ending on December 31, 2018.

There is some confusion as to whether this means players will be able to buy the skin on other consoles after that date, or if that means the skin will be taken out of the game entirely after that date and it will remain the rarest skin in the game.

Forbes published an article suggesting a Samsung representative had confirmed the Galaxy skin would be sold separately after the promotion ends.

That would make it available on New Year’s Day.

If that is the case, Fortnite players may be able to buy the skin separately in a starter pack or as part of a bundle at a later date.

Neither Samsung or Epic Games has officially confirmed if this is the case, so gamers will have to wait and see if they will be able to secure the rarest Fortnite skin in the game.
