Android 9 Pie release – These smartphones are now getting Google’s latest features

Android 9 Pie was officially unveiled by Google last week – the software brings a host of fresh functionality for users.

One of the most notable improvements is what the tech giant is dubbing Adaptive Battery – this aims to harness the power of machine learning to make power delivery more intelligent.

The idea behind the addition is to divert juice away from apps the user does not take advantage of to improve battery life overall.

Android 9 Pie also brings gestures to the table that allow the Google operating system to be navigated with the flick of a finger.

From the outset Google made clear it would try and get the newest version of Android to as many phones as possible.
