Diablo 3 on Nintendo Switch has been LEAKED: When will the big games launch arrive?

It has now been confirmed by several media sources that Diablo 3 will be released on Nintendo Switch.

There have been a few rumours floating around that suggested this project had been underway over the past year.

And now more reports suggest that Diablo 3 for Nintendo Switch will be arriving sooner rather than later.

Having dropped a few teases of their own, it appears the Blizzard port could be ready before 2019.

According to the latest reports, Diablo 3 Eternal Collection was supposed to be announced later this week.

However, it appears that details of the new port have leaked early.

This includes what is part of the Diablo III Eternal Collection for Switch, which apparently boasts the original game, the Reaper of Souls expansion, as well as the Rise of the Necromancer pack.

Blizzard is also throwing in a few Nintendo exclusives, such as an armour set to make mimic The Legend of Zelda’s Ganondorf.

Here’s more from Kotaku, who confirm: “The Switch version will also let you play multiplayer in a number of different configurations, from four-player local co-op on the same machine to four-player co-op on separate Switches without an internet connection, to fully online co-op, to having some players local and others connected over the internet.”

The other big news is that this new Diablo 3 Switch port will be released later this year, retailing at the normal Nintendo pricing.

So if the rumours do prove true, we should hear more about the new Diablo 3 Nintendo Switch port later this week.

Earlier in February, it seemed Nintendo Switch games fans had been given a pretty clear hint on what might be announced in 2018.

Blizzard, the publisher behind Overwatch and Hearthstone, posted a message from social media that appeared to be teasing a new release.

Not only that, but it was for a game that has been well received on PS4, Xbox One and PC.

A six-second video posted on Twitter featured a Diablo nightlight being turned on and off… via a Switch.

“Sweet dreams,” the video caption reads.

It’s wasn’t the most straightforward tease, but it was hard to think what else it could really mean, other than a Diablo 3 port for Switch.

However, since then, Blizzard has been doing some back-tracking.
