The US PGA Championship rounded off the year’s major championships in some style with Tiger Woods rolling back the clock to push Brooks Koepka all the way with the latter holding on to claim a famous win.
It now means the focus for many players will turn to next month’s Ryder Cup tournament and making sure they do enough to qualify.
Both Europe and USA have eight automatic spots with captains Thomas Bjorn and Jim Furyk having four wildcards each.
USA stormed to victory at Hazeltine two years ago for their first win since 2008 and only their second triumph this century.

USA eight automatic places are made up of the top eight Americans in the points rankings at the conclusion of the PGA Championship.
That means Furyk already knows two-thirds of his team with the final four spots to be his captain’s picks.
Both Tiger Woods and and Phil Mickelson are expected to be given a wildcard selection meaning the next couple of weeks will be crucial for those players on the bubble.

Team Europe bubble watch
The European team’s eight automatic places won’t be confirmed until after September 2, with Thomas Bjorn naming his four captain’s picks on September 5.
The eight will comprise the first four players from the European Poins List, followed by the leading four players from the World Points List.
Francesco Molinari is all-but assured of a place following his maiden major win at The Open last month.
Justin Rose, Tommy Fleetwood and Rory McIlroy are also heavily expected to be in the final eight.
