Epic Games are rolling out new Fortnite season 5 challenges this week on PS4, Xbox One, PC, Mobile and Nintendo Switch.
Thursday, August 16, is likely to be the day that the next batch is released, replacing the current battle pass tasks.
One of the more popular week 5 challenges includes completing the Snobby Shores Treasure map.
As seasoned Fortnite players know, you don’t need to grab the treasure map to complete the challenge.
So there’s no need to head to Snobby Shores to pick up the Fortnite treasure map – you just need to know the location it’s showing.

In this case, the Fortnite Snobby Shores treasure map is showing a location in Haunted Hills.
To start with, jump on the Battle Bus and head towards the northeast section of the Fortnite Battle Royale map.
You will want to glide towards Haunted Hills and head towards the spot with a number of ye olde-looking Gothic-style buildings.
Look out for the building that looks like a big church – once you find it face the entrance and on the left you’ll see another, smaller building.
Head to that building and on the roof there will be one part that is higher than the other – go there and the Battle Star will appear.
WEEK 6 CHALLENGES
The new week 6 challenges have been leaked online, meaning fans get a closer look at what’s coming next.
From what has been revealed this week, it looks like Fortnite fans will be searching for big stone heads and completing a timed trial.
They will also need to complete Minigun or Light Machine Gun eliminations and take out opponents at Tilted Towers:
- Deal headshot damage to opponents (0/500)
- Harvest building resources with a pickaxes (0/3000)
- Search where the Stone Heads are looking (0/1)(HARD)
Battle Pass:
- Search Chests in Lonely Lodge (0/7)
- Complete timed trials (0/5)
- Minigun or Light Machine Gun eliminations (0/2)(HARD)
- Eliminate opponents in Tilted Towers (0/3)(HARD)
It should be noted that these new challenges will likely be the ones that go live on Thursday, although Epic Games have changed things in the past.
Last minutes switches have been made by the development team before, so it will be worth checking social media for the latest information.
What we do know for sure is that new battle stars will be available to collect next week.
For those that don’t know, each week Epic Games releases three challenges for free and four challenges for Battle Pass owners.
The challenges are separated into hard and regular tiers of difficulty.
The hard difficulty Fortnite challenges net players ten Battle Stars, while the regular tasks reward fans with five Battle Stars.
Earning Battle Stars levels up your Battle Pass, which is how you unlock all of the rewards on offer.
