World War 3 WARNING: Iran vows to increase missile power ‘EVERY DAY’ in threat to West

Kiomars Heidari, commander of the Iranian Army Ground Forces, said Tehran was ready for closer defence ties with its allies.

Speaking to state media, he also claimed that Iran had “gained self-sufficiency in all areas of the defence industry”.

He made the comments as Iran unveiled the next generation of its short-range ballistic missile, dubbed Fateh Mobin.

Tehran’s Defence Minister Amir Hatami boasted that the new version of the missile was “100 percent domestically made”.

He added: “As promised to our dear people, we will not spare any effort to increase the missile capabilities of the country.

“We will certainly increase our missile power every day.

“Today, the enemies are well aware of Iran’s defence power.

Iran’s missile capabilities have been a major source of tensions between the regime and the West, particularly the US.

US president Donald Trump last week reimposed harsh economic sanctions on the Middle Eastern country.

In a furious Twitter rant, Mr Trump said: “These are the most biting sanctions ever imposed, and in November they ratchet up to yet another level.

“Anyone doing business with Iran will not be doing business with the United States. I am asking for world peace, nothing less!”

Iran’s rial currency has lost half its value since April under the threat of revived US sanctions.

The currency’s collapse and soaring inflation have sparked several anti-government demonstrations in Iran.

But Mr Hatami today attacked the “hollow, worthless and meddlesome comments by enemies” against Tehran’s missile programme.

He accused the West of waging “smear campaigns and psychological warfare against the great nation of Iran”.

In a chilling warning, the Defence Minister added: “Our will to enhance our defence power in all fields will increase.”
