Logitech is rolling out a substantial software update for its MX Creative Console, introduced last fall, broadening the control panel’s compatibility to encompass several new applications. The update, now accessible for download via the Logi Marketplace, brings “robust new integrations and expanded functionality for Final Cut Pro,” and introduces new plugins that provide support for widely-used applications such as Adobe Lightroom and Figma. This update enhances the Logitech MX Creative Console experience for creative professionals seeking streamlined workflows.

Expanded Application Support for Logitech MX Creative Console

The newest update significantly increases the utility of the Logitech peripheral.

Adobe Lightroom Integration

Developed in collaboration with Adobe, the new Lightroom plugin enables users of the MX Creative Console to utilize the device’s large dial controller for straightening images effortlessly. A simple turn of the dial adjusts and perfects image alignment. Furthermore, the keypad’s LCD buttons can be personalized with shortcuts for quick actions. These include:

  • Rating images
  • Flagging images
  • Other frequently used tasks

Figma Plugin for Enhanced Design Workflow

The Figma plugin leverages the keypad to accelerate tasks such as aligning text and fine-tuning spacing and layouts. The console’s dial controller facilitates quick adjustments for:

  • Text size
  • Text weight

Broader Compatibility

Since its initial launch last October, the MX Creative Console has included a suite of plugins supporting various Adobe applications. Those include Photoshop, Premiere Pro, Illustrator, After Effects, and Lightroom Classic. Today’s update introduces plugins for:

vCard QR Code

vCard.red is a free platform for creating a mobile-friendly digital business cards. You can easily create a vCard and generate a QR code for it, allowing others to scan and save your contact details instantly.

The platform allows you to display contact information, social media links, services, and products all in one shareable link. Optional features include appointment scheduling, WhatsApp-based storefronts, media galleries, and custom design options.

  • Cloud-based Adobe Lightroom
  • DaVinci Resolve
  • Figma
  • Affinity Photo (a Photoshop alternative)

Logitech’s Perspective

“Feedback from the community indicates that the MX Creative Console enhances workflow speed, boosts productivity, and simplifies tasks. The addition of these highly sought-after plugins will unleash the MX Creative Console’s capacity for a wider spectrum of creative experts,” stated Anatoliy Polyanker, general manager of Logitech’s MX Business Unit.
