Maldives Imposes Entry Ban on Israeli Passport Holders
MALE, Maldives – In response to the conflict in Gaza, the Maldives has enacted a legislative amendment to its immigration law, effectively barring individuals holding Israeli passports from entering the country.
Formalizing the Decision
Parliament approved the change to the immigration law on Monday, with President Mohamed Muizzu ratifying the amendment on Tuesday, according to an official statement from the President’s Office.

While the cabinet had initially decided on this measure nearly a year prior, the formal implementation by the government occurred this week.
“This ratification demonstrates the government’s unwavering position regarding the ongoing atrocities and genocidal actions perpetrated by Israel against the Palestinian people,” the presidential statement conveyed.
