Background: Text Messages Reveal Alleged Murder-for-Hire Scheme

Victoria Goodwin’s attorney, David Brown, waived her preliminary hearing, according to the same NBC News source.

Married to Aaron Goodwin for nearly three years, Victoria reportedly communicated with Grant Amato, an inmate in a Florida prison. Arrest reports indicate she expressed a desire not only to end her marriage but also allegedly planned to terminate Aaron Goodwin’s life.

“Am I a bad person?” one alleged text message read, according to reports. “Because I chose to end his existence. Not divorce.” She then apparently provided the inmate with details regarding her husband’s whereabouts, including his location and filming schedule while working on Ghost Adventures in California, and discussed payment for the supposed scheme.

Financial Arrangements for the Alleged Conspiracy

Reports indicate Victoria Goodwin allocated $11,515 to pay Amato in October 2024, which included an agreed upon upfront payment of $2,500.
