The events leading to Jillian Shriner’s arrest unfolded last Wednesday in the Eagle Rock neighborhood of Los Angeles. Police officers were in pursuit of three men connected to a hit-and-run incident on a nearby freeway when they encountered Jillian, 51, at her residence. Authorities reported that she was armed with a 9mm handgun.

According to police reports, officers repeatedly instructed Jillian to drop her weapon. She allegedly refused to comply, and then aimed her gun at the officers and discharged it. In response, one officer fired his weapon, striking Jillian in the shoulder.

Surrender and Aftermath

Police stated that following the shooting, Jillian retreated back inside her home before reappearing outside with the family’s babysitter.

Aerial news footage showed Jillian walking down her driveway, surrendering to law enforcement with her hands raised. She was subsequently transported to a local hospital for treatment of a non-life-threatening gunshot wound.

Jillian Shriner was released from custody after posting a $1 million bond on Wednesday night, according to official records. Her next court appearance is scheduled for April 30.
