Helicopter’s Flight Path

The helicopter’s route initially took it towards the Statue of Liberty before turning north in the direction of the George Washington Bridge. Subsequently, it circled back, flying south along the New Jersey coastline of the Hudson River. The aircraft then plummeted into the Hudson River near a pier in Hoboken, New Jersey, at 3:15 PM local time. Commissioner Tisch stated that the helicopter was inverted upon impact with the water.
Emergency services including police boats responded swiftly to the crash site to initiate rescue operations. An eyewitness, Bruce Wall, recounted witnessing the helicopter’s descent. “It began to disintegrate mid-air, followed by the tail separating. Crash Cause Under Investigation
