Virginia Giuffre Resurfaces After Hospital Discharge Amid Health Concerns and Legal Case
Virginia Giuffre, the sex trafficking victim who gained prominence for her allegations against Jeffrey Epstein, has been seen in public for the first time since her recent hospital discharge, following claims of a life-threatening health crisis. The 41-year-old, known for her case against Prince Andrew, was spotted near her rural property just days after leaving the hospital, where she had stated she was given only four days to live.
First Public Sighting in Western Australia
Ms. Giuffre was observed arriving at an animal feed store close to her secluded retreat in Neergabby, north of Perth, at approximately 3:30 PM local time on Wednesday. She was the passenger in a blue Chevrolet Silverado driven by a bearded man.
This is her initial public appearance since a reported minor traffic incident involving a bus, which police classified as a minor collision.
Observations and Reaction Upon Being Spotted
Despite sporting $600 Tiffany & Co. cat-eye sunglasses, no apparent facial injuries, which she claimed resulted from the recent bus incident, were visible.
Upon noticing a Daily Mail Australia journalist, Ms. Giuffre rolled down the car window, extended her middle finger, and exclaimed, ‘Get the f*** out of here.’

The Daily Mail Australia team was departing the feed store parking area after making inquiries regarding Ms. Giuffre’s location when she arrived.
Before this encounter, Ms. Giuffre had not been seen publicly since posting a widely circulated photograph from a hospital bed, subsequent to the bus incident.
Legal Proceedings and Health Update
Ms. Giuffre was scheduled to appear at Joondalup Magistrates Court on Wednesday morning concerning a domestic violence charge. However, she was not required to attend in person and remained absent.
Earlier that day, her US-based agent provided Daily Mail Australia with an update on her health after her charge was mentioned in court.
‘Virginia is gradually recovering,’ stated Dini von Mueffling, her New York representative, who also previously represented Monica Lewinsky.
Her court listing occurred less than two days following her release from the hospital. This release came after a social media post where she claimed to be near death.
Hospital Discharge and Court Appearance
The American-born mother was discreetly discharged from Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital in Perth on Monday afternoon, avoiding a large media presence at the main entrance.
On Wednesday, approximately a dozen reporters awaited her anticipated attendance at Joondalup Magistrates Court, but she did not appear physically.
Instead, her legal representative, Karrie Louden, sought an adjournment, indicating ongoing discussions with law enforcement.
Background on Charges and Allegations
Ms. Giuffre faces charges for allegedly violating a family violence restraining order, which arose shortly before the bus incident that she initially described as potentially fatal.
Her initial court date for this matter was March 14, in the same court situated approximately 30km north of Perth’s central business district.
Outside the court on Wednesday, Ms. Louden stated that she could not comment on the charge as the matter was currently before the court.
She clarified that Ms. Giuffre was not required to appear on Wednesday. Daily Mail Australia sources suggest that police had advised her against attending.
The case has been adjourned until June 11, at which time Ms. Giuffre is expected to enter a plea.
Past Claims Against Prince Andrew and Ghislaine Maxwell
Ms. Giuffre has asserted that she was sexually abused by Prince Andrew at the direction of Jeffrey Epstein’s associate, Ghislaine Maxwell, a convicted sex offender, when she was 17 years old.
The Duke of York has refuted these allegations, as has Maxwell. Epstein died in a New York detention facility in 2019.
Hospital Bed Post and Health Concerns
Ms. Giuffre, formerly Roberts, posted a photograph on Instagram from her hospital bed on March 30, claiming medical professionals had informed her she had only four days to live.
She stated her vehicle had been impacted by a school bus travelling at 110km/h, resulting in kidney failure.
The photograph displayed discolouration on Ms. Giuffre’s face and chest, described as severe bruising.
Three days after the image surfaced, a representative for Ms. Giuffre indicated she had ‘made an error’ and did not intend for the post to be public.
Daily Mail Australia subsequently revealed that Ms. Giuffre was scheduled to appear in court ten days prior to the incident regarding the alleged violation of the family violence restraining order.
Family Matters and Property
Her estranged husband, Robert Giuffre, was also listed at the same court the previous month, accused of ‘providing inadequate storage facility for firearms’.
The couple recently separated after 22 years of marriage and no longer reside together at their opulent $1.9 million residence in a Perth coastal suburb.
They acquired the six-bedroom house five years prior, making a deposit on the property six months before Ms. Giuffre initiated her legal action against Prince Andrew over alleged sexual abuse during her teenage years.
The property purchase was finalized before the matter was resolved out of court, reportedly with a $20 million settlement from the Duke of York.
Custody Issues and Current Residence
The Giuffres are reportedly engaged in a complex custody dispute concerning their two sons and one daughter.
Ms. Giuffre is currently staying on a 16-hectare farm, purchased for $1.3 million, located less than an hour’s drive north of the family’s former beachfront mansion, where her husband remains living.
Prior to the car incident, on March 22, Ms. Giuffre shared a sunlit image of her children on a beach, accompanied by what appeared to be an emotional appeal to see them.
‘My beautiful babies have no clue how much I love them and they’re being poisoned with lies,’ she posted.
‘I miss them so very much. I have been through hell and back in my 41 years but this is incredibly hurting me worse than anything else.
‘Hurt me, abuse me but don’t take my babies. My heart is shattered and every day that passes my sadness only deepens.’
Details of the Bus Collision and Aftermath
In her hospital bed post a week later, Ms. Giuffre stated: ‘I’ve gone into kidney renal failure, they’ve given me four days to live, transferring me to a specialist hospital in urology.’
‘I’m ready to go, just not until I see my babies one last time. My heart is shattered and every day that passes my sadness only deepens.’
Two days following that post, Western Australia Police disclosed that Ms. Giuffre was a passenger in a vehicle involved in a ‘minor collision’ with a bus in Neergabby, approximately 80km north of Perth, on March 24, and that no injuries were reported.
Ms. Giuffre’s 71-year-old caretaker, Cheryl Sassela, was driving the small white car that was struck.
Ms. Sassela, who assists in caring for Ms. Giuffre’s livestock, appeared unharmed when interviewed by Daily Mail Australia last week.
She denied any ‘cover-up’ and expressed belief that Ms. Giuffre would provide further clarification regarding the bus incident to dispel any confusion.
‘I’m sure Virginia will release a statement soon to clear it all up,’ she said.
Police reported that the incident was reported by the bus driver the next day and that the car sustained approximately $2,000 in damages.
‘We have no report of any serious injuries,’ Acting Western Australian Police Commissioner Kylie Whiteley stated.
Bus driver Ross Munns and several passengers have described the incident as a ‘minor bump’.
Conflicting Accounts and Clarifications
Ms. Giuffre is understood to have initially received treatment at Joondalup Hospital for a pre-existing condition before being discharged.
She was admitted to Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital in Perth around 3:00 AM on April 1, two days after her Instagram post gained public attention.
Ms. Giuffre retracted her ‘deathbed’ claims via a spokesperson last Wednesday, stating they were mistakenly posted to her public Instagram profile.
‘Today she remains in a serious condition while receiving medical care,’ her agent said.
‘On March 24, in rural Western Australia, a school bus hit the car in which she was riding. The police were called but said that there was no-one available to come to the scene.
‘They asked if anyone was injured and suggested that if they were, they should make their way to the hospital.
‘The school bus driver had a bus full of distraught children and left the scene to get them back, saying he would file a police report, which he did later.
‘Virginia was banged up and bruised and returned home. Virginia’s condition worsened and she was admitted to hospital.’
In another attempt to clarify the cause of her injuries, Ms. Giuffre informed People magazine of an incident occurring in January.
Her brother, Sky Roberts, explained her ‘four days to live’ claim, stating that doctors had told her she would have died in that timeframe without medical intervention.
Mr. Roberts suggested her injuries were likely not solely attributable to the bus collision.
‘Let’s be clear, she never stated in the bus accident the cause of all the other injuries,’ he said.
Mr. Roberts acknowledged he lacked specific knowledge of ‘what happened internally’ to Ms. Giuffre but stated her injuries were ‘consistent’ with a car accident.
‘Nobody ever said her liver issues and kidney failure were ever from that,’ he said.
‘We still don’t know if it is. I’m not a medical professional. That’s up to her doctor to determine.’
Past Connection to Jeffrey Epstein
Ms. Giuffre first met her future husband at age 19 while training as a masseuse in Thailand. This massage course was financed by Jeffrey Epstein.
