Kaitlyn Bristowe Addresses Podcast Episode Detailing Jason Tartick Relationship
Kaitlyn Bristowe is reaffirming her decision to publicly discuss her past relationship with Jason Tartick in a revealing podcast episode. The reality star and podcast host is addressing fan reactions and clarifying her statements regarding her former fiancé.
Bristowe Shares Statement with Podcast Community
Bristowe, 39, issued an extensive statement on Monday, April 7, to her “Off the Vine” podcast Facebook group, directly addressing her audience.
This communication served as clarification following claims made about Tartick, 36, in the April 3 episode of “Off the Vine,” specifically concerning his podcasting career and their disagreement over a dog name.
“I acknowledge my desire to have hindered someone’s podcasting aspirations. I recognized this as a personal issue, and I also foresaw potential complications within our relationship due to professional crossover,” Bristowe admitted in her Monday post. “My initial concerns materialized. Despite my reservations, he proceeded. I sought further therapy to navigate this. It was a clearly defined boundary that was disregarded, and while I attempted to reconcile it, deeper issues were at play. In retrospect, I understand how my stance could appear unfair.”
Engagement Ended in 2023
Bristowe and Tartick ended their engagement in August 2023 after being together for four years. In her recent podcast episode, she confessed to “attempting to discourage” his podcasting endeavors during their relationship. Tartick launched his “Trading Secrets” podcast in 2021.
She further stated in the April 3 episode that Tartick allegedly used her “dream baby name,” Teddy, for the dog he adopted the previous month. This revelation sparked considerable discussion among listeners and fans.
Dog Name Dispute and Relationship Dynamics
“While Teddy is indeed a common name for dogs and he is entitled to name his dog as he wishes,” Bristowe clarified in her Facebook post, “it remains upsetting that he was aware it was my envisioned name for a child. This was a recurring conversation for years.”
Bristowe continued by stating, “I acknowledge my own relationship shortcomings and have actively engaged in personal growth. I am proud of the progress I’ve made. My personal timeline for healing and self-discovery may not conform to external expectations.”
She conveyed to her podcast audience that she appreciates their expressions of support and intends to reciprocate that positivity, even extending “love” to critics.
Moving Forward and Speaking Truth
“Navigating a space where sharing personal narratives is simultaneously vulnerable, empowering, and challenging. I encourage embracing ‘yes and’ thinking. I harbor no animosity towards anyone. I am choosing to move forward and am relieved to have provided context,” Bristowe explained. “While I prefer to move beyond this topic, it felt necessary to advocate for myself. I have undoubtedly moved forward, yet this does not negate my right to express my truth.”
Addressing Anxiety and Moving On
She further added, “Do I experience anxiety regarding my measured response? Do I believe I am frequently subtly criticized? Yes. However, I am prioritizing positivity and prayer moving forward. For everyone involved.”
Bristowe also responded to supportive comments from her followers.
“I want to clarify that I was not at my best emotionally during the last few years of my relationship due to losing respect and acting unkindly,” she admitted within a comment. “This is my responsibility.”
