Visible Revamps Prepaid Wireless Service with Premium Tier and Price Reduction
Visible, the prepaid wireless carrier, is bolstering its service appeal with the introduction of a new premium plan and a price decrease for its previously top-tier offering. The newly unveiled $45 Visible Plus Pro plan incorporates enhanced features such as 4K video streaming, up to 24 days of Global Pass for international usage, and integrated smartwatch connectivity, all at the same price point as the former Visible Plus plan. The revised Visible Plus plan is now available for $35 per month and includes several feature enhancements.
Introducing the Visible Plus Pro Plan
The Pro plan provides subscribers with unlimited data access on Verizon’s expansive 5G Ultra Wideband network. This premium access mirrors that of the Visible Plus plan (on compatible devices). The entry-level $25 Visible plan continues to offer unlimited data on Verizon’s robust 5G and 4G LTE networks, maintaining its no data cap policy across all plans.
Enhanced Features of Visible Plus Pro
To distinguish the Pro plan, Visible has elevated mobile hotspot speeds to a faster 15Mbps, facilitating smoother sharing of data connections with nearby devices. This is an upgrade from the 10Mbps offered on the Visible Plus plan. Reflecting contemporary mobile content consumption trends, the Pro plan now supports up to 4K UHD video quality, a significant improvement over the 1080p resolution of Visible Plus and the 480p quality of the base Visible plan.
Smartwatch Service and Plan Adjustments
While the original Visible Plus plan incorporated smartwatch service, this feature is not included in the new $35 iteration. As adding smartwatch service now incurs a separate $10 monthly fee, users of the prior Visible Plus plan with smartwatches might find it economically advantageous to transition to the $45 Pro plan for equivalent overall expenditure. The $10 smartwatch service fee also applies to the basic Visible plan.
Expanded International Calling and Roaming
Visible Plus retains its unlimited talk and text to both Mexico and Canada, along with data roaming capabilities within these countries. The Pro plan expands international communication benefits by encompassing up to 500 minutes of monthly calls to over 85 countries and unlimited calls to Puerto Rico, the US Virgin Islands, Guam, and Saipan.
Global Pass for International Travel
For international travelers, the Pro plan provides two days of Global Pass access each month, enabling phone use in regions such as Europe. The Plus plan includes one Global Pass day monthly. Customers can accrue up to 12 unused Global Pass days. Furthermore, opting for an annual payment of $450 for the Pro plan grants 24 complimentary Global Pass days annually.
Benefits for Existing Visible Plus Subscribers
Subscribers currently utilizing the Visible Plus plan who are satisfied with its performance and do not use a smartwatch will experience both a price reduction and service enhancements. The monthly cost has been reduced to $35, while retaining many of the features previously available at a $10 higher price point. Notably, premium data, formerly limited to 50GB per month, is now unlimited. Video streaming quality has also been upgraded to 1080p HD resolution, up from the prior 720p HD.
