No Charges Filed Against ‘NYPD Blue’ Actress Kim Delaney and Husband in Domestic Incident

The former “NYPD Blue” star, Kim Delaney, 65, was taken into custody on suspicion of felony assault. She was held without bail until Tuesday morning, which was the maximum permissible detention period without formal charges and her scheduled arraignment date in court.
James Morgan, 54, was also arrested on suspicion of domestic violence but was released shortly after booking. His bail was initially set at $20,000.
Both Delaney and Morgan were scheduled to appear in court for initial hearings on Tuesday.

“Our office has declined to file charges against Kim Delaney and James Morgan due to insufficient evidence,” stated Pamela J. Johnson, spokesperson for the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office, in an email communication. The District Attorney’s office determined that the evidence presented did not warrant pursuing formal charges against either individual in connection with the alleged domestic incident.

According to arrest records, Morgan’s arrest occurred at 9:45 a.m. Saturday, with Delaney’s arrest following approximately 30 minutes later.
