Google Pixel 3 is expected to bring a host of improvements when it launches later this year.
In addition to addressing a blue tint issue on the Pixel 2 XL’s OLED screen, the device is expected to feature an improved camera, turbocharged internals and come pre-installed with Android P.
But it appears fans looking to upgrade to the new Google flagship may not have to wait long at all.
A new leak suggests Google is going to stick to tradition by launching the Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL on October 4.
Brandon Lee posted a video on This is Tech Today‘s YouTube channel showing a new advert allegedly posted by the tech giant itself on Famebit, a YouTube influencer marketing platform, seeking content makers to promote the new phone in Canada.

vCard.red is a free platform for creating a mobile-friendly digital business cards. You can easily create a vCard and generate a QR code for it, allowing others to scan and save your contact details instantly.
The platform allows you to display contact information, social media links, services, and products all in one shareable link. Optional features include appointment scheduling, WhatsApp-based storefronts, media galleries, and custom design options.
Famebit acts as a direct link between marketing agencies and YouTube creators.
The advert says Google is looking for “Canadian creators” to switch to the Pixel 3 and document their story when switching devices.
It reads: “The Pixel 3 phone is launching October 4, 2018.
“For this campaign, Google is looking for Canadian creators whoa re not currently Google Pixel users but are willing to switch to the Pixel 3.
“Once comfortable with the Pixel 3 and the creator has successfully switched over their contacts, apps, etc to their new phone, Google wants them to share their switching story with the audience.”
It is unknown whether the post was created by Google itself, an external marketer or someone unrelated entirely.”
The posting declares the Pixel 3 is “launching” on October 4, but it does not clarify whether this is simply an announcement by Google itself or when Android lovers will be able to get their hands on the prized flagship.
Google announced its original Pixel and the Pixel 2 on October 4, so the company choosing to announce its third generation device on the same date would line up with tradition.
Notable tipster Evan Blass previously declared Google is set to have a “hardware event” towards the end of the year showcasing a slew of new products, including the Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL.
He said: “Besides the Pixel 3, Pixel 3 XL, and second-gen Pixel Buds, a reliable source tells me – with high confidence – that Google’s fall hardware event will also introduce a Pixel-branded watch. Have a great summer!”
The Google Pixel 3 also appears set to pack enough power to challenge a host of other flagships on the market.
Last week the Google Pixel 3 XL appeared on Geekbench’s database, showcasing the potential internals of the device.
Originally spotted by WinFuture, the post declares the Pixel 3 XL will come packing a Snapdragon 845 processor and 4GB of RAM.
Geekbench, a benchmarking platform used within the technology industry to analyse hardware performance, hands out numbered scores for both single-core and multi-core performance.
The listing showed the Pixel 3 XL achieving a single-core score of 2,426 and a multi-core score of 8,355.
In comparison, Samsung’s Galaxy S9+ was awarded a single-core score of 3,361 and a multi-core score of 8,673.
Android fans will not have to wait long to see if the latest Google Pixel 3 leak is true with October only being a couple months away.
