Teen Mom Star Mackenzie McKee Reveals Twin Pregnancy
In a surprising announcement on Monday, Teen Mom personality Mackenzie McKee shared with viewers that she is expecting twins. The reality television star unveiled her pregnancy during an appearance on The Drew Barrymore Show, expressing her excitement about expanding her family.
Surprise Announcement on Drew Barrymore Show
“No one knows I’m pregnant, but I am,” the 30-year-old TV figure disclosed on The Drew Barrymore Show set. With a hushed tone, she then revealed, “There’s two in there,” after host Drew Barrymore, 50, gave the go-ahead to share the news publicly with the audience.
McKee was accompanied on the program by her fellow Teen Mom cast member, Briana DeJesus, who later conveyed her congratulations via social media.
IVF Journey to Conceive Twins
The Teen Mom star and her fiancé, Khesanio Hall, who proposed in May of last year, underwent in vitro fertilization (IVF) to conceive. McKee had previously undergone a tubal ligation procedure.
Support from Drew Barrymore
During their conversation, Barrymore remarked, “You met a wonderful man, and you desire to share this experience with him.”
She further affirmed with McKee, “You want to nurture children in a loving environment. You are in love. You are enthusiastic about this journey.”
“It was planned. Finally,” McKee confirmed, smiling.
Co-star Briana DeJesus Congratulates McKee
Following the broadcast of the episode, Briana DeJesus posted on her Instagram account, writing, “We began on 16 and Pregnant together, and now observe how far we’ve progressed. Congratulations to @mackenziemckee on her IVF journey!”
She also added, “We were exceptionally thrilled when we received the phone call that The Drew Barrymore Show wanted us on her show.”
Expanding Family for Mackenzie McKee
These twins will be Mackenzie’s fourth and fifth offspring. She is also mother to Gannon, 13, Jaxie, 10, and Broncs, seven, from her previous marriage to Josh McKee.
McKee has been openly documenting her fertility treatments in the current season of Teen Mom, in addition to sharing updates through social media posts.
“Uncertain of what the subsequent chapter holds,” she wrote in a March 20 Instagram post to her one million followers, teasing an episode of the show featuring her undergoing a double embryo transfer. “But excited to embark on this journey with you all!”
Past Relationship and New Beginnings
McKee announced the end of her marriage to Josh McKee in the summer of 2022 after over eight years together.
She utilized Instagram to share news of their separation, posting images of the former couple.
“With all the messages I’m receiving and articles being published, I wanted to personally share what is occurring,” McKee stated at the time.
She continued, “Sometimes, despite your best efforts, things do not work out.”
“I am breaking my silence regarding Josh and I being separated. I will always respect him as the father of my children, but it is time for me to seek my own happiness.”
