The GTA-Like MindsEye Gets New Story Trailer And June Release Date

Importance Score: 25 / 100 🔵

MindsEye, the highly anticipated story-driven action game evoking the spirit of Grand Theft Auto and spearheaded by former Rockstar Games producer Leslie Benzies, is slated to launch on June 10. Developed by Build A Rocket Boy Games, a newly released story trailer provides a compelling look at the game’s vibrant setting, Redrock City, and offers a preview of the narrative and key antagonists.

Explore Redrock City in MindsEye

Redrock City, a fictional desert metropolis governed by artificial intelligence, consumer-grade robots, and other advanced technology, serves as the backdrop for the journey of protagonist Jacob Diaz. Diaz, a former soldier burdened by the MindsEye, a neural implant causing him to experience unsettling memories from a pivotal mission, is on a quest for truth. His search places him in opposition to both the government and powerful Big Tech entities. Key figures in this conflict include Redrock City’s mayor, Shiva Vega, who appears excessively determined to secure absolute authority over her city, and Marco Silva, an unconventional tech CEO harboring ambitious plans to reshape human evolution. The new trailer is available for viewing below.

MindsEye Evolves from Everywhere Platform

MindsEye initially surfaced as part of Everywhere, Build A Rocket Boy’s in-development game-making platform, first announced in 2022. Last October, the studio revealed a publishing alliance with IOI Partners, the publishing division of Hitman developer IO Interactive, for MindsEye. The game was officially unveiled during the PlayStation State of Play event in February.

Standalone Release and Platform Availability

Build A Rocket Boy informed Eurogamer that while MindsEye is accessible via Everywhere, it will also be offered as a distinct, standalone title. Players can purchase MindsEye for $59.99 on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC.
