Enrique Iglesias and Anna Kournikova Spotted on Miami Boat Outing After Health Speculation

Enrique Iglesias and his longtime partner, Anna Kournikova, recently made a rare public appearance in Miami, months after images of the former tennis star in a wheelchair sparked concerns regarding her health. The celebrity couple, known for their privacy, were photographed enjoying a boat trip, reassuring fans after Kournikova’s earlier appearance had raised questions about her wellbeing. This Miami outing offers a glimpse into their private life, amidst ongoing public interest in Kournikova’s health and their enduring relationship.

Rare Public Sighting in Miami

Singer Enrique Iglesias, 49, and Kournikova, 43, were seen together in Miami on a boat, according to photos published by Hola! magazine on Wednesday, March 26. In the images, Kournikova was wearing a stylish black one-piece swimsuit, while the Grammy-winning musician opted for a discreet look with a baseball cap and sunglasses.

Concerns Follow Wheelchair Appearance

Just two months prior, Kournikova had made her first public appearance in three years. Photographs obtained by The New York Post showed Kournikova using a wheelchair and wearing a walking boot on one foot while shopping at Bal Harbour Shops in Miami with her daughters, Lucy, 7, and Mary, 4. Iglesias and Kournikova also have a 7-year-old son, Nicholas.

The photographs ignited worry among fans about Kournikova’s physical condition. To date, she has not publicly addressed the concerns surrounding her health or the necessity for the wheelchair and walking boot.

A Private Couple’s Enduring Relationship

Kournikova and Iglesias, who have long maintained a low profile regarding their relationship, have been together since 2001. They first met on the set of Iglesias’ “Escape” music video.

“When we first met — even though her background was in the sports world — in some ways, we understood each other,” Iglesias shared with People magazine in October 2023. “She understood my profession, and I somewhat understood hers. This mutual understanding was a great advantage.”

He further commented at the time, “We simply began to connect gradually, and our relationship became increasingly strong.”

Balancing Privacy and Family Life

Currently, Iglesias and Kournikova successfully manage to keep their romance away from the spotlight while raising their three children.

Music as a Family Unifier

“When I collect the children from school, and they are having a difficult day, or if one of them is upset or they are arguing, we ask, ‘Kids, what is your favorite song?’ Subsequently, one of them will begin singing [my song] ‘I Like It,’ and then they all join in, singing together; it’s truly adorable,” Iglesias added to People. He also mentioned that Lucy, Nicholas, and Mary are all enthusiastic admirers of his musical works. “I am simply relishing the present moment. I am appreciating every single day.”

Maintaining a Low Profile

Iglesias has openly spoken about preserving their family’s privacy.

“It’s not particularly challenging to remain discreet,” Iglesias remarked on Australia’s Today Tonight in November 2011. “It’s essential to have a sense of humor. [Regarding rumors], it’s been suggested I’ve been married approximately 28 times and have children all over the globe. … I believe I supposedly have twins in Australia, in Perth. Honestly, you just have to laugh about it.”
