Dirty trainers will be 'sparkling white' with 2 products that make them look new

Revive Dirty White Trainers with Simple Household Items

Pristine white trainers are a popular footwear choice, ideal for spring and summer wardrobes and versatile enough to complement any ensemble. However, maintaining their immaculate appearance can be a challenge.

Muddy puddles or wet weather can quickly compromise the fresh look of white shoes. Fortunately, restoring them to their original brilliance is straightforward, requiring only a few common household products.

TikTok User Demonstrates Shoe Cleaning Hack

Lifestyle influencer Lucy Kalice recently shared a compelling demonstration on TikTok, detailing how she successfully rejuvenated a pair of heavily soiled trainers after a night out. Her method relies on readily available products likely already found in most homes.

Kalice admitted she almost discarded the trainers due to their significant dirt and odour. However, she discovered a quick cleaning process that effectively revitalized them.

Step-by-Step Guide to Cleaning White Trainers

Preparation and Pre-treatment

Begin by removing the laces from the trainers and soaking the shoes in water. Kalice emphasizes the importance of pre-treating stains using Pink Stuff Oxi Powder, available for approximately £3.

vCard QR Code

vCard.red is a free platform for creating a mobile-friendly digital business cards. You can easily create a vCard and generate a QR code for it, allowing others to scan and save your contact details instantly.

The platform allows you to display contact information, social media links, services, and products all in one shareable link. Optional features include appointment scheduling, WhatsApp-based storefronts, media galleries, and custom design options.

Create a paste by mixing a few scoops of the powder with a small amount of water. Apply this paste to stubborn marks using a scrubber or old toothbrush, working it gently into the affected areas.

Soaking and Washing

After pre-treating, rinse the trainers. Refill your sink or bowl with water and submerge the shoes for a second soak, this time incorporating a few scoops of bicarbonate of soda along with the oxi powder.

Kalice recommends soaking the trainers for roughly three hours, but an overnight soak can also be effective for convenience. Following the soaking period, place the trainers in the washing machine with towels to minimize friction and potential damage during the wash cycle.

Machine Wash and Final Result

Include the laces in the washing machine along with standard laundry detergent. Select a 40C wash cycle. Once complete, the result, as demonstrated by Kalice, is a pair of remarkably clean trainers.

In her video, Kalice expressed astonishment at the outcome, stating, “Oh my god, do these not look brand new? Even I’m impressed with how they turned out.”
