A fool-proof five-step method for making pancakes will give you fluffy and tasty results. That is according to one TikTok user’s recipe which incoporates more ingredients than the usual pancake recipe to achieve the perfect results. Pancakes are a popular weekend breakfast/brunch item and something that is enjoyed by many Brits all year round.

It involves bananas, oats, and other ingredients to make pancakes that are packed with protein, an ideal way to start your day or a great snack to east after a workout.

The bananas have fibre that are essential to our diets, while the oats are a good source of protein and vitamins. The egg is also a good hit of protein while the vanilla extract gives it a lovely sweet flavour.

To make the pancakes, the TikToker simply mashes the banana, adds the egg and mixes. She then adds the vanilla extract, Greek yoghurt and oats and mixes it all together.

Once she cooks them on a pan for a few minutes, they come out perfectly “fluffy”. She said of the recipe: “The easiest way to start your day packed with protein without using protein powder.”

Some people took to the comments to praise the recipe while others admitted that they were struggling. One person wrote: “So I just tried making these… they cook in the surface but fall apart when I try flipping them.. what am I doing wrong?”

Another said that she tried it and they ended up like “mushy oatmeal”.
