ITV The Bay fans beg for newcomer to be axed as DI Manning's replaced

The Bay viewers are clamouring for the exit of a new character after the shocking car accident that befell DI Anthony Manning.

As the show opened on Monday evening (March 10), audiences gripped their seats witnessing the dire consequences of DI Manning’s crash, which left him fighting for his life.

While the situation seemed dire, there was still an unsolved murder that required attention at Morecambe Bay police station.

Shortly into the episode, with DI Manning hospitalised, his frosty substitute DI Josephine Hardy stepped in, quickly making viewers yearn for her departure.

They promptly took to social media platform X to express their discontent. One asserted: “Now come on DI Manning. We’re not likey the new boss. We need you back.”
