On August 9 Samsung looks set to reveal its all-new Galaxy Note 9 at an Unpacked event in New York.
This next generation phablet is expected to be packed with a swathe of upgrades including an improved screen, faster processor and overhauled dual rear camera which should shoot better pictures in low light.
Samsung has also recently teased a video online which suggests the new Note 9 could have a much-improved battery life.
Rumours have been rife that the Korean technology firm is going to squeeze a massive 4,000mAh battery inside its new phone which would be a big improvement over the current 3,300mAh power pack you’ll find in the Note 8.
Other new extras look likely to arrive in the form of an updated S Pen stylus which could feature Bluetooth technology and a new position for the fingerprint scanner which will be placed under the rear camera rather than alongside it.

A recent post by WinFuture’s Roland Quandt suggests that fans who fancy buying the Note 9 are going to have to spend big.
The report states that the starting price for Samsung’s shiny new 128GB phone will start at €1050 – that’s around £930 when converted.
But things get even worse if you want some extra space to store your files and photos as the 512GB version looks set to cost over €1300 – that’s £1,155.
The dilemma that some Samsung faithful now face is whether to buy the very latest phone or opt for the already brilliant Galaxy Note 8.
Last year’s phablet was one of our favourite phones of 2017 with Express.co.uk’s Note 8 review saying: “There’s no question the Note 8 is one of the best phones Samsung has ever created.
“It’s fast, powerful and has one of the best screens we’ve ever seen on a smartphone.
“Samsung’s clever bezel-free design also means that, despite its giant 6.3-inch screen, the overall dimensions aren’t that much larger than the iPhone 7 Plus.
“Along with its design and stunning screen the camera is incredible and could easily take the crown of the best smartphone snapper of 2017.”
When the Note 8 launched it cost £869 but online stores, such as Amazon are now selling this device for just £579.
If these low prices stick, or get even cheaper, the Note 8 could cost fans almost £500 less than the new Note 9.
