The 21-year-old Liverpool fringe star has penned a one-year loan deal with the Ibrox side.
Kent insists it was a no-brainer to link up again with Steven Gerrard after loan moves last season to SC Freiburg and Bristol City.
Those moves didn’t pan out as the Anfield winger hoped and he had to make sure his next step gave him the best opportunity to shine.
And as he hooked up with Gerrard and his former youth coach at Liverpool, Michael Beale, as Rangers’ 10th signing of the summer, Kent is sure of good times ahead.

“I am hopefully going to bring a lot of excitement to the fans here at Rangers.
“On a personal level, I would like to get a lot of game time this year.
“I think I have to prove a lot of people wrong from last season, and it is a chance to add numbers to my game – so to get a lot of assists and goals. I want to get back to enjoying my football again.”

“They have got a person in charge in Steven Gerrard who has played at the highest level and achieved great things. To learn from him is great, and I already know some of the players here. To have Michael Beale here too, he got the best out of me in Under-23s football at Liverpool.
“It is a really exciting move for me, and I am looking forward to the opportunity.”
Kent was previously farmed out to Coventry City and Barnsley, but signed a long-term deal at Liverpool in 2017 as Jurgen Klopp believed he could still make something of his Anfield career.
Now the next 12 months could be make or break and Rangers hope that a player with a point to prove is a handy asset as they try to peg back both Aberdeen and Celtic.
“This move had to be the perfect one, and when Rangers came around, I think it is,” Kent told Rangers TV. “Last season was a disappointing year. I made my debut against Bayern Munich at the Allianz Arena [for Freiburg] and was involved in a promotion chase with Bristol City, so I did take a lot away from last season.
“I am hoping to build on that this year. Playing in front of 50,000 every week, you have got to turn out and perform.
“Playing on such a big stage, I don’t see how that can’t benefit you for the future.”
